Overview:

Consider: (December 5, 2010) For reduced aerodynamic drag and improved airflow to the propeller consider

Leaving the propeller in its current position and then mount a single boom as a coaxial extension of the propeller's axis of rotation.

This boom will only support the tail feathers.
Its slight downward inclination will be closer to that of the flow of air.
The air inlets to the engine compartment can be further streamlined.
Active Blade Twist will allow the retreating blade roots to direct airflow from the center of the effective disk area toward the upper quadrant of the propeller disk.
