SynchroLite ~ Rotor

For general information on aerodynamics see: Aerodynamics

Note: The CVJ+HS appears to offer much more than the simple teetering rotor. Unfortunately, the CVJ+HS will take the empty weight above 254 lbs. There is a 60 lbs allowance available for floats, but this is getting Mickey Mouse.

Work toward an empty weight of 353# (GW 660 lbs) and to heck with the Ultralight Category. 20% greater GW. than the original craft.

Secondary Grouping:

Disk:

 Design information related to the disks and blade interaction.

Assembly:

Hub - 3-blade CVJ w/ Hub Spring:

Current rotor. Plus related concepts. Just go all the way to Hub - 3-blade ARR: below.

Hub - 3-blade ARR:

Basically and/or initially the same as UniCopter's 1114.html

Hub - 3-blade ARR w/ Rieseler Control:

Just an idea at present

Hub - 2-blade Teetering:

Hub - 2-blade Teetering w/ Control Power:

Hub spring or Bi-teetering, plus vibration negation  Hub - 2-blade - CVJ w/ Hub Spring ? ?

Hub - 2-blade ARR:

Will require much computer control - If it will work at all.

More Hubs:

~ Electrotor - Simplex;

Extremely light and simple.

~ Electrotor - SloMo;

Incorporating 3-blade rotors w/ CVJ & hub spring

~ Electrotor - Plus;

Incorporating 2-blade rotors w/ enhanced flight control

~ Dragonfly:

3-blade offset teetering rotor

 The following blades are currently for the 2-blade hub. Using them in the 3-blade hub but consider a span of 8'-0"

May make thicker at root or taper blade

Blade - VR-7b - Composite:

Chord: - 5.25"

Span: - 8' -8" radius

*

Blade - 8-H-12 - Aluminum:

Chord: - 4.75"

Span: - 9' - 0" radius ??

*

Blade - 0012 - Aluminum:

Chord: - 5.7"

Span: - 8'-8" radius ??

* For reference or testing only. All work & specifications are based on using the VR-7b blade.
