• Put the landing gear (wheels and legs) in the aerodynamic spars that goes from the fuselage to the rotors.
• These spars must handle the rotor moments of gyroscopic precession, therefore handling the loads transmitted by the landing gear should not be a problem.
• Locating the wheel on the inboard end of the spar will result in a wide stance and it will place the retraced wide wheel at the end of the spar that has the greatest chord and thickness.
• The lower skin of the wheel well could be attached to the leg, excluding a small segment at the base of the wheel. A vacuum due to forward flight could help in maintaining that this compartment remain closed.
