Harold, you probably don't want a bicycle tach for your helicopter rotor tach. It doesn't show when you are in the "green" arc or in the "red". Westach makes a helicopter tach that is a dual engine/rotor tach and has low rpm warning. Specify engine 100% rpm and rotor 100% and rotor shaft diameter for the magnet ring. tel. 1-800 400 7024
