Gyro/Heli V -
Control - Flight
Overview:
Pitch is by the elevator.
Roll is by dissimilar lift between the two rotor disks. Lateral movement of the pilot's control stick changing the two collectives accomplishes this.
Yaw is by pedal control to the rudder.

No Cyclic Control of Rotors:
This offers the advantage of having large tip weights.
- The large tip weights insure that there will be no 'surging' back and forth between the rotors and the propeller.
- The rotor disk can contain a greater amount of energy, for use during an autorotation landing.
- The two rotor disks will have a smaller coning angle and therefor produce less vibration.
- The movements of the rotor disks are considerably reduced which means greater clearances between the intermeshing blades.
