Power Train - FrameOverview:
General Preliminary Notes on Items that Attach to this Frame:
The engine is bolted to the upper side of this frame via isolation mounts.
The crown and pinion gearbox is bolted to the front end of this frame.
Initially only the two mast bearings, and their housings, will be attached to this frame.
The propeller bearings will be mounted to the aft end of this frame.
Eventually the rotor's primary reduction large sheave wil be bolted inside the aft end of this frame.
The tail boom will be mounted to the aft end of this frame. It is removable for ground transport.
The rotor's centrifugal clutch will be located inside the forward end of this frame.
The upper side aft end of this frame will support the two drive sheaves to the rotor and propeller.
The lower aft part of the fuselage will bolt to this frame via isolation mounts, at to laterally located locations. Ref. The top of the mast will connect with the upper fuselage, for a 3-point connection.
The rear supports may attach to this frame.
