GyroHeli
Gyrocopter with Phased Upgrading Toward UniCopter
![]()
Objective:
1/. To produce and then enhance a part-gyro / part-helicopter (< 660 lb. GW), for the purpose of testing and validating a few specific concepts. At any point during the progressive enhancement of this craft, a marketable product could be pulled out for commercialization by any interested party. See
Tentative Stages of GyroHeli.2/. The subsequent objective is to transfer some of these proven enhancements to a primitive intermeshing
UniCopter helicopter (< 1320 lb. GW). The UniCopter will then be progressively enhanced in an attempt to achieve it's full set of objectives. See Tentative Stages of UniCopter.Possibly forget.
To develop a simple first stage [i.e centerline thrust, drag and mast: long moment arm on stabilizers, and control moment capability] may be too expensive for those who would fly gyros. When moving beyond this, the requirement to counter the main rotor's drag suggest that it might be best to go directly to the helicopter.![]()
