Materials for Hub Plates;
It was noted from the documentation examined that the gyrocopter hub bars in question are commonly produced from a wrought aluminum alloy; either an AS/NZS 1866 /ASTM B221 grade 6061-T6 [Ref. 13] or 2024-T3 [Ref. 2]. Table 1 summarized the typical mechanical properties [Ref. 14,15] of both alloys.
