Bearings used in Power Train (not control bearings or rotor hub bearings)

Choices for Gimbal Bearing:

Rod End: Heim HF-7 Maximum radial load = 5,356 lbs. The angle for lateral tip is either 12º or 10º. The frame of the rotor will limit the longitudinal tip.

As an alternative consider Bushed Rod Ends in elastomeric, rubber or polyurethane. The will offer a slight spring resistance to pitch, roll, yaw and perhaps any high frequency vibration from the Principle Assembly. Some links are;

Spherical Bearing:

They may only have a self-aligning of 8º to 10º, which will not be great enough.(Torrington).
The allowable static axial loads are only one-forth of the given radial loads. (Aircraft Spruce).
