Dragonfly ~ Control - Flight

Overview:

For the prototype, the portion of the Control - Flight as shown in the sketch below may be identical to the SynchroLite's; with a possible change to some of the linkage ratio dimensions. These are colored green. Then again ~ maybe not.

Consider hydraulic or Bowden cable. Why? Consider reducing the stagger between the rotors by 1 or 2 more inches. This will reduce the arms of the hub by the same amount, which will improve the aesthetics and align the control rods a little closer to the mast angles.

There are possibly 3 subdivisions; in rotor head, attached to primary unit & attached to fuselage.

Spider:

This appears to be the idea; for now at least.

 

Swashplate:

Alternative to the Spider.

 

Mixer Box:

For use with Spider. Attached to drive frame.

 

Cyclic:

 

 

Collective:

 

 

Directional:

Yaw (by pedal)

 

Governor:

Automatic control of the rotor speed by varying the collective pitch. Attached to drive frame.
