• The motor brake relays are mounted on this board but are called up on this page. The motor relays are mounted off-board

• If the Mach3 program is operational then the charge pump will;
• Closes the1 terminal on relay [RLA/1], which
• In series with [RLB/3], allows the motor relays to provide power to the motors and the brake relays to open the brakes.
• Turn on the [Mach3 OK] LED.
• Activation (opening) of any of the travel limit switches by machine travel or the EStops by the operator will;
• Activation of the [Interface Reset] momentary toggle switch button will;
• Close 2 terminals on relay [RLB]
• Takes the EStop input to the computer active Lo.
• In series with [RLA/1], allows the motor relays to provide power to the motors and the brake relays to open the brakes.
• Turn on the [Interface OK] LED.
• Holding the [Interface Reset] pressed will allow the Mach3 [Reset] button to be pressed and the axes jogged off of the limit switches. The Interface Reset will then latch.

• I have purchased and am using an OMERON G6H-2-100-DC4.5. It was bought from CESCO in Burnaby. The OMERON specification pages are in the 'EStops and Limits Board' tab in the 'Controller' binder. The requirements for this relay are given in 'Section 12.1' in the 'Mach3' binder. The meter shows the coil as i47 ohms, whereas Mach3 mentions "at least 150 ohms". Interpolating between the OMERON G6H-2-100-DC3 and the OMERON G6H-2-100-DC5 in the specification pages shows that at 4.5 volts, the resistance should be 178 - 9178 -64.3)/4 = 150 ohms, and the current should be 28.1 - (28.1 - 46.7)/4 = 32.7 mA.

• Check the specifications just to make sure all is OK.
• Relay RLR is simply the same as a third circuit on relay RLB.
• Recommended relay; OMRON MY4 series.
• The ORMOM 4-pole DT relay MY4N-DC12(S) has a maximum switching capacity of 150W.
• The ORMOM coil's rated current at 12 VDC is 75 mA.
• 1 required. [RP Electronics #468-006] Necessary because of 1 NC and 2 NO ~ Check specs when at store.]
• Socket for above [RP Electronics #R95-1xx ~ compare with catalog for desired mounting. These differ from those below.]
• I am using 2 only SANYOU DSY2Y-S-212L [from MODE 50-433-1, 12VDC DPDT Dip Relay. 200 mW 720 Ohm coil. 1A @ 30VDC. 0.3A @ 125 VAC].

• The Panasonic DPDT relay DS2Y-S-DC12V has a maximum switching of 60W, 6.2 VA and a maximum switching current of 2A. One brake shows 38 mA and the other two show 145 mA 1478. 12V * 145 mA = 1.740 VA
• The Panasonic coil's rated current at 12 VDC is 16.7 mA. Three relays will be 50.1 mA.
• I am using 3 only (double pole) Panasonic (Aromet) DS2YE-S-DC12V relays. They are rated at 0.3 A, and this looks OK, These relays are probably the same as OMRON G6H-2-100-DC12.

• Check the specifications just to make sure all is OK.
• The ORMOM DPDT relay MY2N-DC12(S) has a maximum switching capacity of of 300W (the 4 pole is only 150W). The Tamagawa TRE Servomotor 1480 is 300W.
• The ORMOM coil's rated current at 12 VDC is 75 mA. This is a total of 3 mA. The mini Power Supply provided a maximum of 1A per terminal.
• The contact on the two I bought are rated at 5A. Is this enough, particularly for the Tamagawa. Perhaps I should leave room on the board for one only larger relay such as the MODE 10A Octal Base Relay plus socket?? Note that it will sit about 1 inch higher. Note also that the RP Electronics rectangular DPDT is 10A and it MIGHT fit in the existing Soder Tab Sccket MODE 50-902-1
• The ORMOM coil's rated current at 12 VDC is 75 mA. Two 2-pole and one 4-pole will be a total of 225 mA. 2 required. [RP Electronics #R14-11D10-12 ~ Check specs when at store.]
• Socket for above [RP Electronics #R95-1xx ~ compare with catalog for desired mounting. These differ from those above.]
