Information:

Servomotor:

Encoder:

From the specification sheet and the above Type: TS 1978N111E14

Wires inside the Encoder Cover: 6 wires

Blue and brown go to a different location from the other 4 wires.

Wires Colors at the Connector: 6 wires

I cannot determine which wire in the cover is the same wire at the connector because the wires are sealed in the encoder.

  1. This was the pin sequence on the linear connector. The connector had only 6 pins.
  2. This must be 'Lag' because the voltage varies as the motor shaft is turned by hand; same as does wire nbr 3
  3. This wire might be the Circuit Ground' because it is thicker.
  4. The voltage on this wire does not vary as the motor shaft is turned by hand.
  5. These are the Renco wire color and pins, which have been incorporated into this CNC's encoder wiring.
  6. For more information see pages in binder and Web page 1478.html
  7. For color of wires used see; OTHER: CNC Work Station - Controller - Internal Wiring ~ Encoder

This motor/encoder passes the initial Gecko instruction test. ~ Rotating the motor/encoder causes the error light to go on and then 1 second later goes off. It works when the outputs Brown and Blue are pulled high (as per Tamagawa instructions) and when they are not pulled high.

However, the motor/encoder does not run properly.

    1. Include then exclude the pull-ups.
    2. Switch Ch B and Ch B.
    3. Redo 1 with switched channels.
    4. Pull-down the GRD
