The following is only of concern for rotors with 3 or more blades.

 

 

It appears that Schoeffman's rotor radius is 40.5". = 81" diameter = 6.75 ft diameter.

This is an area of 35.8 sq-in

An Intermeshing with the same rotors and a stagger between shafts of 24" results in a total disk area of 49 sq-ft, which is a 37% increase. This is a reduction of the disk loading by 73%

 

Not using centrifugal force therefore there is a minimal force attempting to flatten the blade

Just been spending a couple of hours on conceptualization meditation.

If you remember, back a few weeks ago I mentioned the possibility of putting a little ramp on the leading tip of the Intermeshing blades to physically assure that they would cross with the desired blade being on top.

He is an even better idea; I think. It might be a really good idea.

In addition to conventional taper and twist how about bending the final +/- 20% of blade span upward. This should achieve the desired physical crossing plus reduce tip vortex and add to speed stability.
