Throttle:

Consider have springs on both sides of the engine's throttle lever. The springs will position the throttle at a RPM that will give a slow rate of descent. The helicopter will thereby come to a safe landing should the throttle linkage between the operator and engine break. Better yet, have the engine's throttle accessible by the operator.

Remember to have a collective/throttle correlator.
