• Utilizes blade that is basically a scaled down UniCopter blade.

• Piezoelectric Coil:
• This will consume power on a continuous basis that is not contributing to thrust.

• Magnetic Use of the Top of the Stator Coils:
• This will contribute to thrust.
• Separate Rotor and Stator:
• that actuates the pitch and contributes to thrust. This will probably be very inefficient.

• If the blade is not an integral part of the hub then the blade will be subjected to a pitch change not a twist change. This is good.

• Will the 6º coning angle be excessive?

• Should each controller and its associated group of coils have its own Hall effect sensor? Perhaps 0.5 more lbs for 2 more Halls + wiring.
• If the wire changed from 24 AWG to 14 AWG then the wraps per coil will change from 195 to 19. Interestingly, the 3 parallel windings have close to the same wire area as 1 of Rick's desired wire of 1/8" diameter. However there will be more wraps per coil then Rick wants.
• Order 2 more KBS72121,50A,24-72V and controllers.
• Pick up 1 more Hall effect sensor and wires.
• Use 3 existing Albright relays.
• Features: Higher Harmonic Control of 2.
• To be considered: Spring and Dampen details
• The radial push and pull on the rotor segment SHOULD be balanced and therefore the radial forces should not be a problem.
• Re coil wiring: 14 AWG is limited to 32 A for chassis wiring, but this is probably for insulated wires with no means of cooling.
• Re wiring between controllers and coils: 12 AWG is limited to 41 A for chassis wiring. If we go to the desired maximum power, this will be 72 V at 10 Kw and this will be 50 A. However, if the final build is 6P x 2S for 144 V then this will be 12.5 A per wire.
• Arm:
• The angle of pitch change is 10º.
• The horizontal movement for a 1.5" arm length is 0.2581"
• The vertical movement for a 1.5" arm length [i.e. magnets in respect to the coils] is 0.0056"
• Controller:
• In the final version there will be 6 parallel x 3 phases x 2 Thyristors, MOSFETs, or IGBTs = 36 power switches.
