Swashplate could be at behind motor. This means that connections to the flight controller devices only need to negotiate the motions of the transition mechanism and not the rotation of the PropRotors also.

This arraignment may be beneficial to the cooling of the motor.

Flexible coupling between motor and PropRotor.

Consider for both the 2x4 and the 1x2?

July 16, 2009 ~ Consider Independent Blade Control. The reason for this is that the rotor control system need only be working during hover and transitional flight. During cruise the conventional airplane controls would/could be used.
