Concern. ~ A mechanical reduction of the speed will produce a yaw in the craft, unless there is an opposing brake clutch that is driven in the opposite direction. This will generate heat and may cause a meaningful loss of power.
Perhaps an electrical coupling may work. To rings of opposing permanent magnets do 100% of the torque transfer. Then a separate (or interlinked) coils and permanent magnets alternate between generator and motor to fine tune the speed and power.
