DESIGN: AeroVantage ~ Control (Flight & Power) - PWB - Overview Logic

• All 4 motors always rotate at the same speed. However, the rear PropRotors (& their motors?) will probably turn slower than the front PropRotors (& their motors?). This may not be true until after the blade pitch has be implemented.
• Their RPM is collectively controlled by a electric input device (rheostat wheel?) on the Joystick .
• Each individual motor is equipped with a RPM encoder (perhaps a Hall Effect type)..
• Each motor has its own Electronic Speed Controller
• The pilot sets the desired RPM.
• The Programmable Wiring Board continually scans the 4 encoder and the pilots input. It then adjusts the ESC's Pulse Width Modulation to any motor that RPM has deviated from that selected by the pilot.

• Control consists of integrating the Hover flight control effectors with the Cruise flight control effectors.
• Pitch ~ The elevator (physically or by servo) is integrated with the forward pair and the aft pair of collective servos.
• Roll ~ The airlerons (physically or by servo) are integrated with the port pair and the starboard pair of collective servos.
• Yaw ~ The rudder (physically or by servo) is integrated with the diagonally opposed collective servos.

• The cruise flight controls of elevator, airleron and rudder (physically or by servo) are fully connected at all times and the rate of actuation does not vary.
• The contribution of pitch, roll and yaw inputs to the 4 collectives is decreased , based on the degree of the tilt angle, as the PropRotor transition from hover to cruise.
