Basically the same as 1615.html

Except that the rear of the main arm extends approximately 24: for hover. This is done by the shave that is driving the 3 worms also turns a thread , which creates the extension.

Advantages over 1615.html.

The distance between the forward proprotor and rear proprotor is less during cruise by about 12". However, the distance between the forward proprotor and rear proprotor is about 6" less during hover.

There is less drag in front of the lower quadrant of the aft proprotor.

Description of Operation:

All three worm-wheels and screw work at the same time, from the same shaft.
