This bar is to allow twist (pitch) but resist bending (inplane and out-of-plane).
Produce the bar with a 4º precone.
Construction to be two S-glass or carbon, tow or unidirectional tape loops. Vacuum-bagged over winding frame and cured.
It might be wrapped in unidirectional fiberglass at 90º to the carbon thread.
Adjusting lead-lag by a pair of un-centric inserts in one of the blade attachment holes.
Sizing:
I think that the Gyrobee hub-bar is 2.5" wide by maybe .75" thick, ???? aluminum.
Consider ultralight hub-bar as 2.5" * 1" = 2.5 sq-in aluminum 6061?. Divided by 2 rotors =1.25 sq-in. Divided by 2 sides of hub-bar = .625 sq-in. .6" high * 1" wide. Of course make wider since unidirectional fiberglass and unidirectional carbon may not have the tensile strength of aluminum, Then again, I think that they may have better tensile strengths??? Check later.
