Notes:

The shorter the offset length. --> The shorter the tie-bar. --> The worse the flap and lead/lag action. It would appear.

Add a provision in the yoke for a single stronger tie-bar. and have a separate provision for lead/lag.

Much of the supporting information comes from the Dragonfly rotor.

Use three of the smallest gyrocopter blades that are made by an outside source.

Later, consider a single tie-bar assemble centrally located and handle the lead/lag separately. As an alternative to the tie-bar have a rod from each of the yokes go down (or up) to a gimballed 3-arm part. See sketches in file folder.

The universal joint will provide approximately 1º of delta3. Where is the note on this with the actual values for the differential flap angles.

Adjustment of Lead/lag:

By moving the central crossing assemblage up or down the collective lead or lag of the blades can be changed.

Strength of Tie-bars:

Information comes from the Dragonfly rotor. DESIGN: Dragonfly ~ Rotor - Hub - Tie-rod - Layout ~ Option-B

Using Steel - 4340 and the Yield tensile strength, the cross-sectional area of the rod must be (18,342 / 113,970) = 0.161 in². Upgrades from SynchroLite to Gyro/heli = (660 / 275 ) x 0.161 in² = 0.3864 in² = 0.7014" diameter, say 3/4" dia.

Consider using fiberglass thread for elongation.

Same Hub but with 6" Offset:

This is the rotor hub with a 6" offset.

This hub will probably not work as well because the flap and lead/lag movements are further from the optimum. The optimum would have an offset distance of infinity.
