MAKE: SynchroLite ~ Rotor - Hub - 3-blade - CVJ & HS - Crown

Notes:

Consider making out of titanium and not aluminum. One reason is that the elevation over the CVJ can be lower (stronger material); for blade - hub clearance. Another reason is the wall might be thinner for more clearance between the spindle head and the X-outer pivot bolt. University of Maryland's proposed Chesapeake is titanium.

Slope the upper surface 'roof' to reduce chance of damage if there were to be a blade strike.

'Shave' the top of the Crown down between the spindles, since this is the location where the blade of the other rotor passes over this hub. This 'shaving' will only be a slight straightening of the top curve at three azimuths between the spindles.

Must provide for sealed cap on inner end of thr three blade attachment bore.

What about making the crown in three parts and then bolting together? This may eliminate the need for splitting the X-outer

Casting: ~ Information on castings for housings etc.

Material Properties: ~ Properties of materials. Presently just metals, for use in power train components.
