DESIGN: SynchroLite ~ Rotor - Hub - Bearings - PitchThe following was done for 2-blade rotors and must be revised.
Force:
The centrifugal force, based on an over-speed of 25%, is 5,570 lbs
The design maximum flapping force, based on no coning angle, rigid blades, hover loading and an over-thrust factor of minus 25% is 2,553 lbs.
Each of the 2 bearings is subjected to the full flapping force. The centrifugal force is all on this bearing.
Size:

Safety Idea:
Consider including a small bronze bushing in the bearing assembly. This bushing may do two things. One, any wear on it, noted during regular inspections, will indicate wear or undersizing of the elastomeric bearing. Two, should the elastomeric bearing fail, the bushing could serve as a backup until the craft landed.
An additional though is that of having an electrical warning, which is created by electrical current flowing from the bushing to the housing surface that it should not be coming in contact with.
Shim:
All the shims are identical.
