Does it need to handle the small horizontal angular change or can the fiberglass or carbon thread handle it? Note that if the thread is to be epoxied, so that the tie-bar handles light compression loads, then the bearing must have horizontal motion or use fiberglass thread for the axial loads and wrap in fiberglass or carbon thread.
