Put spacer between two bundles going to the same end thimble. This is so that the real of thread can be passed between the two bundles
Apply constant tension on thread when wrapping.
Remove three spacers, and possible push end thimbles out to tension threads. Perhaps work assembly as end thimbles are slowly extended so as to equalize the tension on all thread.
Bind strand between yoke and center thereby increasing tension. This will also remove most of the tendency to twist.
Epoxy binding and possible also the strands. It the tie-bar assembly to handle a small amount of tension?
Note:
Consider making the rods of prepreg carbon thread, then slipping one or more bias carbon sleeves over top of the bundle of thread then elongating the sleeve(s) to contain the bundle.
Are the threads and or the binding thread to be fiberglass (for elasticity) or carbon?
How small a radius can fiberglass and carbon thread be bent around when they are operating in tension (and possibly compression)?
