Manufacturing:
Consider NC machining a foam core. Place the inserts. Then lay up the cloth over the foam, vacuum bag with one-sided sticky tape and cure. Remove unnecessary core and lightly sand exterior. Could put one or two partial layers on the inside of the core to give additional strengt, where required, such as at the top for compression.
One of the inserts will be the special (Jesus) nut that is later threaded onto the mast.
Tape is
to be 2" wide unidirectional carbon. There must be imbedded carbon rods or some other means of taking the compression at the top of the hub.
Is the thread to the post part of this composite hub or is a separate component that is bonded to this hub?
