A Needle bearing (full compliment) could be considered for the radial load; or perhaps, just make provision for it in the future. [Source ~ MDD p.24]

Just for preliminary consideration, a full compliment needle bearing is the B-812; 0.5" ID, 0.6875" OD, 0.75" long and a maximum working load of 3,290 lb-force.
