Item 1143

DESIGN: Dragonfly ~ Control - Flight - Assembly - Layout (w/ Spider)

This is to be the total assembly of all Control - Flight components; except those that are part of the fuselage

Drawing:

This drawing is totally obsolete but it may offer some ideas for linking the two rotor control sticks.

Notes:

Torque Tube and Bearing between Control Hub and Pitch Horn:

The universal joint causes a very small amount of radial movement in the torque tube. Because it is so small (0.03º approximately) there is no reason to have a self-aligning bearing at the control hub, just allow the torque tube to bend slightly. See; DESIGN: Dragonfly ~ Control - Flight - Torque Tube & Joint - Layout.

The motion may be slightly greater when the pitch is at the extremes.

Concern with Slop:

Make sure that the spline and the universal joint do not add too much total play in the pitch change linkages.
