DESIGN: UniCopter ~ Power Train - Assembly - Engine Horizontal - All Gear

Overview:

Information related to a single engine, with a horizontal crankshaft.

Engines can be Rotax 912 or Hirth F-30.

The outside of the clutch is rotating. Perhaps;

Note that a fan in the boom will reduce that air density at the carburetors.

 Arraignment of Components:

Engine:
  1. Torsional Shock Absorber: ???
  2. Soft-start: SMC Axle Clutch, Item 0751 ~or~ ?
  3. Primary Reduction: ??. ?;? ratio
  4. Right angle transfer: Miter gearbox. Ratio dependant on reduction in engine gearbox and RRPM requirement.
  5. Overrunning clutch: Located on crossover shaft, near mid location.
  6. Secondary Reductions & Rotor Synchronization: Two 81-degree, 4:1 ratio, spiral bevel gears.
