DESIGN: UniCopter ~ Rotor - Disk - Downwash - in Hover & Forward Flight

Single Disk in Hover:

This drawing belongs to SynchroLite [item 0721]. It must be revised for the UniCopter.

When revised for the UniCopter this drawing will show additional thrust at the blade roots due to the increased twist, resulting from the Independent Root and Tip Control.

 

Both Disks in Forward Flight:

The sketch below shows the downwash (lift distribution) in fast forward flight. It will be noted that there are two areas of lift along the span of the retreating blade. The lift at the tip end is conventional whereas the lift at the root end is due to Reverse Velocity Utilization
