The Angel CH-7 is Lexan, one piece, forward hinging.

They have four Plexiglas windows and they say they are sufficiently strong using 2 mm (0.0787") thickness instead of 3 mm (0.1181"). 1/16" is 0.0625"

Revolution Mini 500

Revolution Mini 500's windshields are formed from shatter resistant polycarbonate.

Notes:

It appears that 1/16" thick plastic could be used if edges are reinforced (ie. framed). See canopy at BCIT.

The total weight will be somewhere around ??? pounds and the moment arm will be around 40 inches.

General:

Use 1/16" thick plastic (acrylic?). Compound curvature gives strength.

Approximately 5.6 sq.ft. (810 sq.in.") = 2 pounds.
