Idea:- Opening that allows belt to be passed through frame need only be width of belt thickness. A small "filler" plate could then be attached to the frame to be used to reinforce this opening.

Idea:- Consider extending rear end of both engine mounting plates, giving them a slight bend and using 1 or 2 bolts to tie them together. This will eliminate the need for End Coupling [0783].

Note:- This plate need not extend down and be part of the oil pan for strength IF the belt guard can take up a lot of the loading. If it is to extend down then it must be partially machined out for the synchro gear. Also this plate need not extend down so far if the oil reservoir is to be located under the seat.
