Idea:- Opening that allows belt to be passed through frame need only be width of belt thickness. A small "filler" plate could then be attached to the frame to be used to reinforce this opening.

Idea:- Consider extending rear end of both engine mounting plates, giving them a slight bend and using 1 or 2 bolts to tie them together. This will eliminate the need for End Coupling [0783].

Note:- This port mounting plate only extends down to be part of the oil pan so as to be compatible with the starboard plate. There is plenty of strength without extending down. If it is to extend down then it must be partially machined out for the synchro gear.
