Item 0269

OTHER: Helicopter - Inside - Coaxial - Ultralight w/ Mid Seat

Overview:

Coaxial helicopter with pilot located between the 2 rotor disks.

Drawing:

Notes:

Two engines. Both located between the two rotor disks.

Pilot is located between rotor disks. Helicopter has a degree of stability similar to coaxials with both rotor disks located below the pilot.

Hydraulic collective and cyclic controls. Using double ended cylinders. See drawing 0426.

Supporting attached to bottom of stationary center post.

Advantages:

The large gap between the rotor disks improves the lift efficiency.

May not have the 'excessive?' stability of the DeLackner or PAM 100?

Same Idea:

See the two pictures at the bottom of OTHER: Aircraft - Gyro/Heli - w/ Torque Compensated Single Rotor
