Transmission - Spiral Bevel Gear Set:

Re: Safety Factors used in helicopters:

FORM: Gear - Bevel (spiral) - Horsepower (Hamilton)

The Pitch appears to be Module 4.

The tooth count is 9 and 45.

The face width is slightly over 1".

The gear has an overall diameter of 7".

The circular pitch is approximately 0.5" on the circumference.

Dennis Fetters said that this gear set is used on the 1 and 2 seater. Their literature mentions a 2:1 or a 1.2:1 safety factor (depending on how you read it).

Revolution lists their engines at 67-80 hp for the 1 seat and 138 hp for the 2 seat. The lines below are therefor their theoretical Service (safety) Factors;

1 seat Talon

2 seat Voyager
