Consider the SynchroLite Intermeshing with its 25" stagger. 2-blade teetering or 3-blade CVJ&HS (note that CVJ portion only needs to be a universal joint or gyrocopter hub since the 'mast' does not rotate.

Consider the Dragonfly with its 24" stagger.

Particularly since the two rotors could be mechanically synchronized with nylon gears.
